Riley and Susanne - SOLD

My wonderful friend Susanne gave me such an honor --painting her grandchildren, Grace Ann and Caroline and Riley and Susanne. I carried around their photos with me and had them on my desk so that I could study them and get to know them before I ever put a brush to a canvas. I loved painting these.

Daddy's Girls - SOLD

This was one of the most fun paintings ever. Audie and I have a good friend who we have known since he was a teenager. He was in our youth group when we met and we always loved him and his family. He was and is a smart, good-looking sensitive guy. After seeing my painting of Whitney in her "dress up shoes" he asked me to paint a picture of his daughters (who are now 19, 18 and 15) the way he remembered them when they were younger. He said one always wore flip flops, one converse tennis shoes and one "dress up heels". What a sweet way for a Daddy to remember his "girls".

Maddie - The Sleepy Puppy

Maddie is Allie and Erika's puppy and this is a very rare moment for her....sleeping. She curled up on the couch in my office and slept in the sunshine. This is my first attempt at a doggie portrait.

Whitney at the Beach

Whitney and Weston are my favorite subjects to paint. This is a beach scene where she was unsure of joining her Daddy and Weston in the waves.

Livie

Livie is the beautiful baby of a friend of mine. She makes me smile.  (Watercolor)

View from my deck

This is the beautiful view from my deck. I live on Lake Martin in Central Alabama. I attend an Art Colony near here each year and find much inspiration from the water and the serenity of being close to it.
